"Who is Maggie??" you say.  Well, that's the nickname given by the local crews to the NYC "big hook" in Jackson, Michigan...per Cecil Hommerding's notes on the negative envelopes. Cecil took these photos of Maggie in action...at Chelsea, Michigan, along with the Bay City hook, at Manitau Beach, Michigan on the Cincinnati Northern (Big Four), in action at the wreck just east of the Jackson, Michigan, depot...and in 1956, when the NYC world had gone diesel!
