| Didcot Station England July 1996 Part 1 by Doug Leffler | |||||||
| Didcot is a good place to watch trains, plus there is a railway museum a few hundred feet from the station platforms. The HST's run through the platforms at track speed, which, at that time was about 125 mph. One is carefull to be well back from the edge of the platform when the HST's roll through!! There is a coal-fired power plant several hundred yards west of the platforms, so one also sees occasional coal trains to the plant. | |||||||
